As Director of Small Works Building Service Repair with Care my aim is to provide a building service that will meet the needs of the customer, by listening to what the customer wants and to offer advice and direct support with practical solutions to housing repairs, maintenance and or adaptations. To provide a quality service and adopting a ‘hands on’ philosophy to achieve the aims and objectives of the service from start to finish.

Some Background
I began my career as a carpenter & Joiner in the construction industry in1976, and have always worked and lived in the valleys of South Wales. Over 30 years of experience. My Primary work has been on domestic, private properties of which mainly are stone built terraced houses. As a Home Inspector, I have an extensive knowledge of the fundamental defects that effect such traditionally built structures. During my career I have experienced many housing defects that affect not only the fabric of the building but also the health of the occupant.

I can assist you with your ideas to adapt, repair or maintain your property to suit your needs and arrange to undertake such works with a Repair with Care philosophy.

Over the years I have seen many changes in technology and the development of specialist materials of which are now readily available and we are much better armed to combat issues like dampness, defects, infestation and rot. These days we can find a solution to many housing problems and with the correct application, properties can be upgraded and modernised to provide a warm, comfortable and a safe environment.

Much of my career has been working in the Voluntary Sector Repair with Care within RCT. During 21 years in the voluntary sector I have surveyed thousands of properties and established a supply chain and network for services, building a long standing working relationships with customers and colleagues, which is important for the smooth delivery of service and continuity of customer care.

Now working within the private sector as Small Works Building Service my aim is to continue my principle of delivering services which is customer focused and has customer care and quality of service, as a high priority.
